Privacy Policy

We collect account details, age and profile information, photos, preferences, match activity, messages, private reflections, safety reports, blocks, support communications, and basic technical records needed to run and secure the service.

When you request phone verification, we use your phone number to send one-time SMS verification codes and protect your account. Authentication and communications providers process your number to deliver and verify these codes. Standard message and data rates may apply.

We use information to authenticate you, create profiles, make and improve introductions, deliver chat, generate app insights, remember preferences, prevent repeat blocked pairings, investigate safety concerns, provide support, and protect the service.

Automated systems may help summarize or analyze profile, conversation, and reflection information. SoulChat should not use automated output as the sole basis for a legal or similarly significant decision.

Your match sees the profile and chat information the product shows them. Private reflections, reports, and block records are not shown to the other user. Service providers may process data for hosting, databases, authentication, storage, communications, and AI-supported features under instructions from SoulChat.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud or abuse, protect someone from harm, or support a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably needed for the purposes above. We use access controls and other safeguards appropriate to the service, but no online system can guarantee perfect security.

You can update profile information in the app. You can end, block, or report a match. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, and to appeal a denied request.

If you are signed in, you can permanently delete your account from Delete account in your profile. To make another privacy request or request a copy of your data, email support@soulchat.ai. We may need to verify that the request belongs to you.

SoulChat is for people age 18 or older. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information to SoulChat, contact support so we can investigate and remove it when appropriate.

We will update the effective date when this policy changes and request renewed acceptance for material changes when appropriate. Privacy questions can be sent to support@soulchat.ai.
